Wednesday Whoopty-Doo

Awesome.

So first off thanks to @MrBrandonStroud over at With Leather for putting that thing I wrote a couple days ago into the Tuesday Morning Links. If you click on that then me and that site are TOTALLY EVEN STEVENS. Anyway here's this week's Best and Worst of WWE RAW from them, as well as Drew's Funbag from over at Deadspin. I read those two articles every Tuesday like clockwork. Still wondering when some pro wrestling dongshots are gonna show up in one or the other. THE WINNER SHALL HAVE A STRAWBERRY!

New Shit On Netflix Instant Watch Today Watch It Or Don't

Blame It On Rio -- Starring Demi Moore's boobs and some other people.
Blue Mountain State: Season 3 -- I love this show. If you haven't seen it, I know it looks dumb, and almost everyone I know at college watches it because it's "wooo college football/drinking/sex/wooo" but it gets pretty satirical on the subculture surrounding college athletics and honestly, it's not that far-fetched.
Cashback -- Hooooooly crap watch this British movie. If you like boobs, there are boobs. This is a really fun, quirky movie.
Duck Soup -- I've watched this movie every week for six months. It is the best.

Take everything shitty you want to say about this movie or Hollywood's obsession with existing properties or whatever I DON'T GIVE A FART(told mom I'd clean up the site). The original show this movie is based on had a pre-Tim Burton Johnny Depp and it was RAD AS SHIT.

If I had readers I would like to attempt a mailbag column. I know lots of other sites do it, and far better, but whatever. THIS IS THE INTERNET, AND I WILL STEAL ALL THE GOOD IDEAS OF SUCCESSFUL BLOGS OR I WILL DIE TRYING. Well, die is a strong word. I will stay unmotivated and play Skyrim trying? That works.

Follow me on Twitter @Killprint Warning: a lot of foul language and otherwise offensive wording.

Have a day.

Caring is easy. Apathy is work.

A lot of work.

Someone admired by thousands...tens? hundreds? of thousands of people dies. Someone whose career you might have followed for decades, depending on how old you were when he passed. For me, it was 12 years. A dozen years I spent cheering the successes and lamenting the losses. In life he was someone to be admired. Someone whose work ethic was, if not the peak in his sport, then at least the first one out of base camp when it's time to climb.

Someone whose life went to absolute shit in the time before his passing.

NCAA WWE National RAW Championship is War D-D-D-DOUBLE LIVEBLOG

I have no idea why I'm doing this. Last February I liveblogged the entire NBA All-Star Weekend and it was the most exhausting things I've ever done. Writing words is hard, you don't know. So I'm bored and like a lot of people, I have to flip back and forth between two things I want to watch.

Now you might be saying "hey go get a DVR what are you one of them poors or somethin" and to you I say: go eat a D. This is America and if I want to watch two things at the same time I will do it. So I'm just gonna update this as the night goes on. Stick around and refresh now and then, I hit the update button every couple of paragraphs.

Blogging Champion

Hahaha yeah so I took a few days off. I pulled off a 6-player trade in my fantasy NBA league a couple days ago that saw me give up Derrick Rose (throwing in Brandon Bass and Jared Dudley) for Tyreke Evans, Ty Lawson, Serge Ibaka and a new copy of Skyrim. Now if you're saying "Dave it looks like you just traded the league MVP for a video game" then you are correct.

You think that's bad? Back in September I traded Megatron to a guy for Miles Austin so that he wouldn't play any country music for the two hours I had to spend running the GSA booth at Club Day.Anyway that's where the inspired bout of laziness came from. Skyrim. I know I'm two months late to the party so I'll just echo pretty much every good thing you've heard about it. I've only had it freeze up a couple times.

Here's some links:

The 5 Reasons Marriage Scares Men (Cracked) This list only applies to non-douchebags. If you're still all YO CAN'T BE TIED DOWN GOTTA GET MAD PUSSY BRO by 25 then you deserve acid-based lubricant.

WWE RAW Best & Worst 1/2/12 (With Leather) I always link this but this time I'm linking it with love since my comment made the top ten list on the last page. BIG TIME.

My last point I want to make before I go take a dump and play more Skyrim is this: Where we are today as a society, with our current level of technology/social media outlets/texting/etc the act of communicating has become mind-bogglingly easy. Easy, but terrible. Just awful. I'm going to put the point of my rant behind the jump.

SHIVAKAMINI SOMAKANDARKRAM

The irony here being that this league is like, me and 11 people who work for my hometown city's newspaper. I think I legally own the newspaper now. I also won a discman and something called a palm pilot.

Wednesday Links and such

I skipped a day. I also bought Star Wars: The Old Republic. Yeah. It's been installing/patching for 7 hours now and only another 5.94GB to go. I only had one semester until graduation, too. I gave my WoW account to my girlfriend. I even handed over the authenticator. She has a bunch of people at work she can play with and I happened to have a few hundred gold on that server so what the heck. In case you're still reading here's some links:

Best/Worst of WWE RAW 12/26 (With Leather) I used to write for a mid-sized "Wrestling Opinion Board" (we'd call those blogs now) with this guy Brandon back like a decade ago. After being part of that Funhouse sports creation he's now the editor at a site I had already been reading, while I am a 32-year-old college senior. The moral here is that if you want to be a writer, keep writing.

11 Overlooked Deaths of 2011 (Cracked) I love to read this list every year. Also, my homepage is Wikipedia's Recent Deaths, so, maybe I'm weird. Or...MAYBE I just like to be on the cutting edge of important obituaries? Eh? Ehhhh? #imweird

The Year In Swag (A/V Club) I had not seen this article when I decided to start this pop culture+sports+asshole opinions blog but now I at least have something to strive for. Oh hey if you're under 25 this is what swag means so stop using it in every fucking sentence and hashtag because you're starting to sound like Smurfs.

We're at 5.66GB left on the download. I'm so pumped for this game. I love Star Wars. I was checking out the action figures at Wal-Mart earlier and holy shit. $8.96 for a regular Star Wars toy. No, really. That's a WAL-MART PRICE. And it's the same basic 3.75" figure they've ALWAYS SOLD. One person, one or two accessories like a lightsaber or gun, the end. They also had General Grievous masks and spinning lightsabers. Forget arthritis, this is the worst part of getting older.

Have a day.
